First:

main
This version of 'Elrond Stardome' lasted for over two years (from 1st of may 2002 until september 2004). I tried changing it a few times, but was never satisfied and changed back to the original version only days later. The splash page constantly got new appearances, though.

Second:

splash ~ main
Splash and main page. The layout lasted from september 2004 to december 2004. I hated parting with my original layout and this new version didn't look elegant at all, but the navigation and general organisation of the site urgently needed improvement.

Third

splash ~ main
Again, splash and main page. Lasted from december 2004 to end of march 2005. At first, I kinda liked it in spite of that stupid title bar and bad-looking navigation, but I soon was fed up by the blue colors. At least it had a clear appearance.

Fourth

splash ~ main
From 27th of march to may 2005. I had planned on something totally different, but suddenly I couldn't stand the usual graphics you see in LotR layouts anymore: blends made of caps, spiced up with romantic brushes. And then I ate chocolate. - Chocolate? Why is that special? First of all, I normally don't eat chocolate, because I simply don't like it. Secondly, the chocolate I ate was in a box. And that box was similarly designed as this layout. - You see, inspiration is in all places!

Fifth

splash ~ main
I really hated this layout from the first second I saw it in my browser to the very last. I used it nontheless :blushes: Fact is, I loved version 4, but it was too small for all the info pages. One day I had enough of it and made this layout. I had wanted to make a graphic featuring Elrond as herald anyway. Okay, so I should have waited til I had more time and patience left... If you wanna do me a favour - don't click on the thumbnail for the splash page, I've never done anything worse :goes into hiding:
