Archived blends round 5

1st place:

"The Sea Calls Us Home" by Frodofan
A beautiful blend with wonderful colours and effects. I also especially like the mix of fonts. Furthermore, your work doesn't make me feel as sad as many others. It seems to be more peaceful.

2nd place:

"Into the West" by Isithradë
*Sigh* This is a wonderful blend with original concept. I love the Circle-of-the-World idea. Another plus is that you didn't only use movie images. The image of the Elves looks like a wave itself - a whole epoch washed away.

3rd place:

"Keeper of Memories" by Magnus
However do you manage to blend the most different images together so that they look as a natural whole? I'm in awe again and kinda ashamed to admit that it took me quite some time to discover the second Elrond. The stars all over the blend produce a serene atmosphere and I adore the title! It's obvious that you really thought about the theme.

Other entries:

"Your stairway lies on the whispering wind" by Morri
A lovely graphic. For once a quite modern looking LotR work and I like it. The textures you used and the song lyrics are especially cool (forgive the profanity). The overlapping images of Elrond and Arwen are a good symbol for their inner conflicts.

"I'd sail before a thousand moons" by Lady Estel Anarion
Your blend is a beautifully sad piece of work. The text goes to the heart as well. Finally, the dark colours enhance the effect.

"Leaving Middle-earth" by Tárië
A blend with beautiful soft colours and images. The effects and brushes you used are lovely as well. The text line and Elrond's weary gesture leave no doubt what it's all about - a simple but effective graphic.

"The time of the Elves..." by Cassie
An interesting blend that shows both, the eternal light of the Elves and the growing darkness in Middle-Earth. It was an original idea to use a bigger version of the wood elves images abover the small one. The poem sums up what happened at the end of the Third Age pretty well.

"Grey Havens" by Eruanna92
A lovely blend. I like how you put the leaving Elves opposite to those who'd be left behind - still together, already apart.

"Farewell my beloved" by Arien Elensar
A simple but beautiful blend that focuses on Elrond's feelings about leaving Middle-earth. I like how the images of Elrond and Aragorn overlay. In my opinion it symbolizes the change in Arwen's life quite well.

"This Road" by Morgan
A good idea to make a wallscroll to show the events that led to the leaving of the Elves, or more specifically of Elrond. The line perfectly fits this intention. I especially adore the third image from the left, the colours and light effects are quite unusual. It's great how you manage to make everything look so soft.
